Founded over 10 years ago by Kev Hegan, Illuminated has delivered bespoke online marketing solutions to businesses, from international investment banks to composers. Illuminate Online specialise in helping businesses achieve their full online potential.
Kev has been in the web business since the days of dial-up modems and netscape! From '98 to 2008 he wrote and taught a Multimedia National Diploma course at a local FE college. He also created an extremely popular web design course that saw many hundreds go on to become web designers. Since leaving teaching, Kev has been working with a team of graphic designers, techies and hosting professionals, all experts in their field, to build brands, websites and businesses for the 21st Century.

Discovery &
Website WorksheetIf you would like to work with us, we ask that you first fill in our Website Worksheet. This will make sure that you have thought the project through, have a realistic budget and goals that are achievable. This may be a hard process, in which case you could employ us to run a discovery process with your team, so that you have a solid project report to, hopefully, give to us, or any other team you choose to work with.

Meeting &
ProposalIf, through the discovery process, we think we can help your business achieve it's online goals, the next step is a meeting, either in person or via Skype or Zoom. In this meeting we will explore the details and scope of the project. This will allow us to write a detailed proposal that will outline the needs and solutions, timeline and investment needed to complete the project as well as all the T&C's.

Sitemap &
PrototypeAt all stages, we will check that you are happy with progress. The first step is to produce a sitemap that will show all the sections of the site and how they link together. Once this is approved we will usually build a prototype. This consists of the bare-bones functionality, usually without the images and final styles, but enough to see how the site will function.

Design
ProcessNow it's time to make it look pretty. All the functionality has been agreed and the colours, fonts, images need to be decided upon. Again, we will not move on until you are happy and everything is agreed. We have a process we follow that keeps us on track and helps to quantify that most difficult of things... what makes a website look good, professional, fit for purpose and, most importantly, attractive to your target audience!

Development
ProcessHere, all the technical stuff is implemented. There are many things that need to be included in a modern website. Security - so you're clients and your website are safe, responsiveness - so it works on a mobile, Search Engine Optimisation, Google Analytics, Sales Funnels. If it all sounds like gobbledygook, don't worry... we make it our business to keep up with the latest technology and explain it in simple terms to help you understand the benefits.

Delivery, Launch & Training
At last, your website is ready. We will deliver to you, all the passwords, software keys and information needed to run your website. You will probably need some training. We specialise in WordPress websites, which means you we will be able to provide a login for you so that you can make your own changes, if you are confident to do that. We can also provide an ongoing service that can include updates and the management of the site, keeping all the software up to date, which is essential for security.
